Are Frosted Flakes vegan?

Kellogg’s frosted flake cookies are not vegan. They contain vitamins that most likely are derived from an animal. However, Target’s Good and Gather ‘Frosty Flakes’ are vegan! They contain three ingredients: organic corn, organic cane sugar, and sea salt.

What do I need to make these cookies?

  • Vegan butter

  • Sugar

  • All purpose flour

  • Baking soda

  • Frosty Flakes

  • Salt

  • Flax egg- binds the dough

  • Vanilla Extract

Why Frosted Flakes?

Truth be told, I never was a big cereal fan growing up. I did not like milk so the only time I ate cereal was if it was straight from the bag. My favorite cereal though- frosted flakes. I love all things sweet, which is probably why I like this cereal so much. It is pretty much just sugar!

I love the crunch of frosted flakes and it really adds a fun texture to the cookies, and a great taste. If I haven’t convinced you to try these yet, (I hope I have) try these chocolate chip cookies instead. They are always a great staple recipe.

Topping the cookies

To finish off the cookies, I added a powdered sugar glaze. This is optional but I suggest it! It is just around a 1/2 cup powdered sugar with a tsp or two of water. Mix until you get a thick but drizzly texture.
